[SQL] After update Trigger in SQL

I have trigger on update table. I want trigger to not execute on some fields update. I am disabling trigger before update statement and then enabling it. that works fine. but trigger still fires on update statement in even after disabling it.

If I disable trigger manually through SSMS and then run procedure it does not execute trigger on update statement execution. it works well. It is not working when i do it programmatically. could that be bug of SQL server?

I have tried chatGPT/Google and microsoft documentation but i could not find any help
