How to connect a Progress (OpenEdge) databank with HTML5?

    I'm creating an application in HTML5 and I need access data from my Progress (OpenEdge) Server, I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to do it, or at least a simple, clear, and comparable example. I think it is Web Service and I've read a lot about it including here on Stackoverflow, but I'm still a little bit confused.
